Sunday Recap: Glenelg, Adelaide, and Sturt Secure Wins

Glenelg BSA D1W Stay Strong Against Henley & Grange BSA D1W

Glenelg kept their winning momentum rolling with a 9-4 victory over Henley & Grange, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back. Peyton Daniels and Erin Harris set the tone in the first inning with key at-bats, and Glenelg capitalized on walks and productive outs to put up four quick runs.

A three-run third inning extended the lead, with Daniels and Harris again in the middle of the action. Despite a push from Henley & Grange, Glenelg’s pitching held firm. Daniels started on the mound, giving up just two hits and no earned runs in her outing, while Jacquie Dunn shut things down in relief.

Harris, Kaluza, and Daniels each drove in two runs, while Glenelg’s patient approach at the plate resulted in 10 walks.

Henley & Grange’s Elyse Dolman and Shaely Stellini drove in runs to keep their side in the game, but they couldn’t overcome the early deficit.

Adelaide BSA D1W Power Past Kensington BSA D1W with Big Second Inning

A five-run explosion in the second inning lifted Adelaide to an 8-2 win over Kensington. Regan O’Rielley and Angela Mourtzios delivered clutch two-run hits, while Aleesha Mead capped off the rally with an RBI triple.

Mourtzios also shined on the mound, allowing just two runs over 2.2 innings before Isabella Hacker came in to close things out. Sophie Fuchs, Rebecca Murdoch, and Mead each had multi-hit games, leading Adelaide’s offensive charge.

Kensington had its chances, with Ashalea Kautsky, Maddy Walpole, and Ruby Pfitzner all reaching base, but they couldn’t break through against Adelaide’s pitching.

Sturt BSA D1W Too Strong for Southern Districts BSA D1W

A dominant performance from Sturt saw them claim a 9-3 win over Southern Districts. Sturt jumped out early thanks to a two-run double from Elisa Gooley and a series of well-timed hits from Jenny Dunn and Charlotte Lightbody.

Gooley continued her stellar game, finishing 2-for-2 with four RBIs. On the mound, Georgia Davis kept Southern Districts in check, allowing just three runs over four innings while striking out five.

Southern Districts showed flashes of a comeback, with Hayley Barnes driving in a run and Mabel Parr-Gahan picking up two hits, but Sturt’s strong pitching and aggressive base running sealed the win.

Wednesday Recap: Adelaide and Sturt Win Nail-Biters, Woodville Puts on a Show

Southern Districts had their own offensive highlights, with Kira O’Brien driving in two runs and Jess Maslin reaching base multiple times. However, a couple of defensive miscues proved costly in the final inning.

Sturt BSA D1W Walk It Off Against Glenelg BSA D1W

For the second time in three days, Sturt found themselves in a tight battle—this time securing a 7-5 walk-off win against Glenelg. Elisa Gooley played hero once again, smashing a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to clinch the victory.

Glenelg had taken an early lead thanks to Sydney Horton’s two-run double, but Sturt responded with a three-run sixth inning, capitalizing on walks and timely hitting.

Woodville BSA D1W Dominate Henley & Grange BSA D1W with Offensive Explosion

Beth Lee and Kelsey Goldspink were unstoppable, combining for six RBIs, while Indie O’Hazy-Zschorn and Amara Quinn also chipped in multiple hits.

Henley & Grange struggled to contain Woodville’s relentless offense, as errors and walks kept the pressure on their defense. Despite the tough outing, Elyse Dolman and Tayla Oates managed to drive in runs for Henley & Grange.

Alice also had a standout performance, recording five strikeouts on the night to help seal Woodville’s dominant win.
